About The Position

Morrison Healthcare is hiring immediately for part-time CATERING ASSOCIATE positions at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville, MS. The role involves patient food service on assigned units, including menu selections, tray assembly, delivery, and special requests. The schedule is part-time with varying days, from 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm or 6:00 am - 2:30 pm. The position requires patient communication skills and offers a pay range of $12.00 to $15.00 per hour. Requirements

• Patient communication preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with nursing departments, clinical dieticians, and other personnel to provide excellent patient services.
• Introduces the 'Catering to You' program to new patients following scripted methods.
• Takes patient menu selections prior to meals and offers alternatives based on prescribed diets.
• Assembles trays according to patient menu on tray ticket and retrieves trays from patients' rooms.
• Complies with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO.
• Adheres to facility confidentiality and patient's rights policy as outlined in HIPPA policies.
• Follows Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines when handling food.
• Follows facility and department infection control policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
