About The Position

Priory Hospital Solihull is looking to recruit a Catering Assistant to join the team. This role is a full-time role of 37.5 hours per week. Flexible working rota - shifts to be discussed at interview. Must be able to work weekends and bank holiday. Must have a full driver's licence and drive. Located in Meriden, Warwickshire, Priory Hospital Solihull is a 31-bedded hospital supporting the NHS by offering level 2 rehabilitation services for males.

Requirements

• Must have a full driver's licence and drive.
• Resilience and natural empathy to support others.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, security, and accuracy of records, data, and information.
• Experience in a catering environment is not essential as full training will be provided.
• Ability to respond to routine enquiries from colleagues and occasionally residents.
• Ability to work in a busy kitchen environment using a variety of equipment.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks that require sustained physical effort.

Responsibilities

• Assists catering staff with both the preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with the company's Assured Safe Catering policies and procedures.
• Under direction, takes responsibility for parts of the catering operation.
• As part of the catering team, ensure the kitchen and associated areas meet operational hygiene standards and comply with the company's Assured Safe Catering policies and procedures.
• Amends the services to suit the needs of the site.
• Reduce the amount of waste to gain a greater value for money.
