About The Position

As a Catering Assistant, you will support the Catering Department in delivering exceptional service for all events. Your responsibilities include assisting with event set-ups, maintaining cleanliness and organization, ensuring food safety standards, and providing outstanding customer service. You will work closely with the Catering Supervisor and kitchen team to ensure smooth operations before, during, and after events.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in food service or catering operations (previous catering experience preferred).
• Basic knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and food safety standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail.
• Strong customer service skills with a professional and positive attitude.
• Ability to follow instructions, work as part of a team, and communicate effectively.
• Physical ability to lift and carry catering equipment and supplies (up to 25–50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
• Flexible schedule and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Basic computer skills for order tracking and communication (Microsoft Suite or Google Suite experience is a plus).

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and set-up of catering events, including arranging tables, linens, and service stations.
• Support food and beverage service during events, ensuring timely and professional delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in catering areas, including proper breakdown and cleaning after events.
• Follow all sanitation and food safety guidelines to ensure compliance with health standards.
• Help with packing, transporting, and organizing catering supplies and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth event execution.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service to clients and guests.
• Assist with inventory checks and replenishment of catering supplies as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support catering operations.
