The Caterer/Baker coordinates and prepares creative, enticing desserts and baked goods for inpatients and the Cafeteria. The Caterer/Baker also coordinates and prepares all aspects of food needed for routine catered events, as well as assigned tasks for specialty catered events. The Caterer/Baker is responsible for ensuring that all food that leaves their area complies with proper presentation, food safety, proper servicing size and portion control. The Caterer/Baker is directly engaged in and responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the Bakery/Catering area.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of a 2 year culinary arts degree or a minimum of 1 year of past baking food service experience.
  • Valid driver's license with no restrictions.
  • Serv-Safe certification.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of best sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and prepare creative, enticing desserts and baked goods for inpatients and the Cafeteria.
  • Coordinate and prepare all aspects of food needed for routine catered events.
  • Perform assigned tasks for specialty catered events.
  • Ensure that all food complies with proper presentation, food safety, servicing size, and portion control.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the Bakery/Catering area.
