Category Space Manager
About The Position
The Category Space Manager (CSM) is responsible for the life cycle of shelf space management for Virginia Eagle Distributing (VED) chain and independent off-premise accounts. This position will work out of the Fredericksburg market, Monday through Friday. The CSM directly manages the progress toward accomplishing the goals and objectives for space and assortment of VED. The key objectives of this job include: shelf space development, coordination/physical execution of resets, communicating and working with sales team at all levels to accomplish goals/targets. Drive processes to gain VED share of space in the market, and ensuring that we meet and exceed all standards for shelf space reporting. Must have the ability to safely drive various vehicles. Must have a valid Virginia Driver’s License and be able to operate with a safe driving record. Must maintain insurability to operate a motor vehicle. High school equivalency. College Degree preferred. Must possess MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Outlook and specific beer wholesaler and Anheuser-Busch software operating capabilities. Must be able to navigate the Internet and various propriety websites. Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Must meet physical requirements, including sight, hearing, keyboard typing, and operation and ability to sit upright for up to 10 hours a day, and lift up to 30lbs on a consistent basis. Must be able to communicate utilizing the English language in verbal and written form. Must be able to use basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Must not have a criminal history with a felony conviction or plead of no contest to a felony. Must be able to prioritize assigned work and meet changing deadlines. Must be available to work flexible hours. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.
