About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Category Manager to join our team. The Category Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives to drive the growth, profitability, and overall performance of a specific product category. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of market trends, customer preferences, and competitive dynamics, combined with strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Requires at least 1 to 5+ years of related experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to analyze and interpret complex data to drive business decisions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Category Strategy Development: Define and execute the category strategy to meet both short-term and long-term business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce or expand to optimize the product assortment, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer needs.
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis to understand customer preferences, emerging trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Monitor and recommend pricing, promotions, and product positioning to enhance category profitability.
  • Regularly track category performance, including sales, inventory, margins, and other key metrics.
  • Conduct regular reviews of product performance to identify growth opportunities or areas of underperformance.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, outlining category performance and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collect and analyze customer feedback, reviews, and competitive intelligence to inform category strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activities, and changing consumer behaviors.
  • Product Assortment & Lifecycle Management: Manage product lifecycle from introduction to end-of-life, making data-driven decisions on product updates, discontinuations, and replacements.
  • Work closely with marketing, merchandising, operations, and supply chain teams to execute category initiatives and ensure smooth product launches and in-stock availability.
  • Partner with the e-commerce team to optimize online product listings, digital marketing, and promotions.
