About The Position

Join Global Supplier Services in a high-impact category role focused on Market Data and Broker, Content, and Exchange services. You’ll collaborate with senior stakeholders, shape sourcing strategies, and deliver commercial outcomes by leveraging firmwide scale—helping ensure employees can access contracted services efficiently and cost-effectively while maintaining strong governance and compliance. As a Category Sourcing Manager -Vice President within Global Supplier Services (GSS), you will lead and support sourcing and contracting activities for third-party supplier spend across Market Data and related services (including trading platforms, exchanges, pricing services, research subscriptions, and broker services). You will build strong relationships with internal stakeholders—primarily within the Commercial & Investment Bank and Asset & Wealth Management—conduct supplier due diligence, run competitive sourcing processes, negotiate commercial terms, and partner with Legal, Risk, Third Party Oversight, and Finance to execute agreements in line with policy and procedural requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of Market Data Services experience.
  • Extensive Sourcing and process knowledge.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and judgment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively across regions and with all levels of management.
  • Client management and relationship management skills.
  • Strong financial analysis skills and experience conducting cost/spend analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel, and Ariba procurement tool.
  • Understanding of legal contracts and SLAs and the ability to support contract development and compliance.
  • Experience working with third-party providers in a Financial Services context.

Nice To Haves

  • Category/spend management experience (managing a market facing category)
  • Project management experience delivering complex initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of ARIBA and contract drafting
  • Proven track record of broad, strategic thinking in a Sourcing or Vendor Management role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support end-to-end sourcing and contracting for third-party supplier spend across Market Data and related services within a line of business.
  • Build stakeholder partnerships with senior executives and teams (including Market Data Services and Global Reference Data) to understand business drivers and third-party requirements.
  • Support vendor rationalization efforts across the Commercial & Investment Bank and Asset & Wealth Management.
  • Drive channel compliance across the vendor landscape and help ensure contracted goods/services can be obtained efficiently and cost-effectively on a global basis
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for significant transactions aligned to Global Supplier Services (GSS) strategic priorities.
  • Conduct supplier due diligence and partner with clients and stakeholders to define sourcing requirements.
  • Assess supplier offerings and develop/present sourcing options that meet JPMorgan Chase business requirements.
  • Lead negotiations and contract development through approval and execution in partnership with internal control functions.
  • Maintain adherence to policy and procedural guidelines for sourcing and contracting activities, while partnering with regional teams on local, regional, and global sourcing initiatives as needed.
  • Support SLA compliance by collaborating with internal partners and client teams to ensure selected vendors meet service expectations.
  • Perform cost and spend analysis to develop savings initiatives and identify cost reduction opportunities.
