RESPONSIBILITIES: The Category Sales Supply Chain Analyst – Fresh and Ready Meats coordinates with National Category Sales Managers (NCSMs) to connect sales forecasts with the supply chain IBP process. This position will provide analytical support to drive supply chain improvements that create value for both the customer and Hormel. This role will interface and work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Retail Sales, and NCSM teams. Responsible for developing and building forecasts while monitoring and reporting on accuracy and inventory changes (including S&OE Meetings and pre DCRs). Work closely with NCSM & Sales team members to understand key customer promotions & demand signal changes. Serve as the point person for sales and supply chain to optimize forecasting and mitigation of distressed inventory. Independently work cross-functionally across supply chain and sales teams to optimize overall supply Own inventory communication to Retail Sales inclusive of shortages (including management of the allocation process as needed) and distressed inventory. Manage SDCT booking system details including forecasts vs bookings vs orders, ensuring optimal weeks of supply needed while managing code dates. Collaborate with sales teams regarding discrepancies to ensure successful service levels during key time periods. Assemble and synthesize data from disparate sources including o9, HDS, Oracle (transportation, orders and invoices), and SDCT booking system tools to provide insights and recommendations that support good business decisions. Proactively manage inventory associated with new item launches as well as the item discontinuation process to ensure successful management of inventory levels.
