For over 100 years, we’ve been designing quality bathroom & kitchen products for homes and commercial spaces, including popular brands like Methven and Caroma. You’ll be joining a company with a strong history and an exciting future. Methven has been part of New Zealand’s story since 1886—trusted by plumbers, loved by consumers, and renowned for innovation tailored to local conditions. With New Zealand driving its own market agenda, we’re now seeking a Category Manager – Product to lead the Methven product pipeline in NZ and deliver Caroma new product launches to market. You’ll own end‑to‑end product outcomes while working closely with the local and regional Marketing teams.

Requirements

  • Background in FMCG, manufacturing or the building/construction sector.
  • 5–10 years in product/category/brand management or similar.
  • Experience managing NPD from concept to launch.
  • Strong commercial thinking and comfort with data.
  • Credibility with trade partners and a practical, hands‑on approach.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Methven product pipeline – plan new ranges, project manage new product launches, and guide product decisions.
  • Deliver new product launches – project‑manage Caroma NPD for the NZ market.
  • Optimise the range – pricing, competitor analysis, performance, deletions/renovations.
  • Manage product information – keep data accurate and enriched across all systems and customer touchpoints.
  • Know the customer – understand plumbers, merchants and consumer needs.
  • Work cross‑border – collaborate daily with the NZ and AU Marketing teams.
