Ready to be part of something special? Join our Family! The Category Manager is responsible for providing analytical expertise and support to achieve brand and category objectives. This role involves developing sales insights and summarizing key findings to assist in strategic decision-making. The Category Manager will leverage data from multiple sources to create persuasive Sales and Marketing presentations aimed at increasing and protecting market share, distribution, shelf space, and assortment for all company categories and brands.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Extensive and proven experience working with Scintilla, Retail Link, NielsenIQ, Numerator and Customer Loyalty Data required.
  • Strong analytical skills are required. Including the ability to analyze multiple sources of data and recommend actions based on key findings.
  • 5 years of experience in a related field or similar position required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data tools and platforms (Nielsen, Numerator, Scintilla, Power BI, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis & Reporting Extract and analyze data from sources such as Nielsen, Numerator and Scintilla.
  • Develop comprehensive reports and presentations to inform business strategies and compare actual results against annual targets.
  • Create ad-hoc reports as needed for business improvement initiatives.
  • Sales & Marketing Support Coordinate information to develop compelling presentations for Sales and Marketing teams including category strategy plans and line reviews.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to enhance category performance.
  • Present insights and recommendations to Walmart Merchants Cross-Functional Collaboration Work proactively with Sales, Marketing, Trade Management, Operations, and Senior Management.
  • Support company-wide strategy recommendations and improvement initiatives.
  • Translate complex data into compelling narratives.
  • Trade Promotion & Profitability Review and evaluate Trade Promotion and Marketing program effectiveness.
  • Assess profitability plans and make recommendations for optimization.
