Summary: In this role, you will manage a market-leading portfolio of pharmaceutical supplier service agreements delivering best-in-class contracting strategies and expertise that provide supply chain cost reductions. You will maintain existing pharmacy program opportunities by coordinating stakeholder needs through the execution of contracting, advisory, compliance, policy, and analytics services. You will support the development of new opportunities in partnership with team members.

Requirements

  • Pharmacy or PharmD Degree required.
  • 5 or more years of relevant experience required.
  • Contracting experience with direct negotiations preferred.
  • Superior communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
  • Strong presentation and customer service skills.
  • Cross-functional interaction skills with a proven track record of delivering results needed.
  • Willingness to travel.

  • Experience in pharmacy, marketing, business and/or project management a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure alignment of business strategy with overall corporate strategic objectives related to services and contracting activities.
  • Ensures project and contract alignment to stakeholder needs and market competitiveness, partnering with cross-functional teams maximize value
  • Capture and organize information shared during voice of customer engagements to learn stakeholders’ requirements, strategic agendas, and tactical direction.
  • Identify strategic issues and opportunities for improving stakeholder satisfaction and engagement based upon the voice of customer sessions.
  • Review financial aspects of assigned contracts including budget accruals, forecasting, and revenue expectations.
  • Lead key pharmaceutical negotiations process that includes opportunity identification, strategy formulation, contract development, negotiation, documentation, and implementation.
  • Apply deep knowledge of standard contract terms and conditions to help answer provider questions.
  • Build relationships with pharmaceutical suppliers and serve as single point of communication on pharmacy service programs.
  • Deliver superior customer service experience to the client.
  • Partner with legal resources to explain difficult concepts or unique situations that require potential deviation from standard contract terms; develop appropriate contract terms.
  • Establish working relationships with stakeholders and build rapport to become a trusted advisor.
  • Ensure stakeholders understand where and how to access pharmacy program offerings (e.g., contract catalog, reporting, clinical website, communications, peer-to-peer meetings).
  • Monitor, review, and update existing projects and contracts based on market changes (e.g., new drugs, new research findings, new policy); may contribute to new projects and contracts that produce strategic and market insights, best practices, and deliver value for stakeholders.
  • Pursue new opportunities to organically grow pharmacy purchases and savings for existing programs
