Summary of role We are seeking a Category Manager – Indirect Procurement, a highly strategic role responsible for owning and advancing enterprise-wide category strategies across indirect spend, with a primary focus on R&D, Clinical Operations, Medical Affairs, and Tech Operations (Facilities, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Quality). This role serves as a trusted business partner to senior stakeholders, translating business objectives into category roadmaps that deliver sustainable value through cost optimization, demand management, supplier innovation, and risk mitigation. The ideal candidate brings strong strategic sourcing and category leadership experience, a deep understanding of indirect procurement levers, and the ability to influence across a complex, matrixed organization. This role goes beyond execution—requiring a forward-looking mindset, strong commercial judgment, and the ability to shape procurement strategy in a growing, regulated life sciences environment. This position is based in Massachusetts and requires a presence on-site 3-4 days per week, and open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States.
