About The Position

As a Category Management Specialist , you will support Category Teams in delivering both the in-store and online strategy. You’ll be the point person in product item set up and merchandising our online SKU assortment while optimizing product detail pages to make our customers shopping decisions easier and relevant. You’ll manage item attribute data and drive process efficiency. You’ll collaborate, optimize, troubleshoot, and deliver a best-in-class online customer experience by acting as a center of excellence for cross-functional partners. This role is hybrid, which means you will work some days at our corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota, and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process. What you’ll do Drive Category Conversion, Revenue, and Profit through product accuracy, SKU slotting (online merchandising), maintenance, and process optimization. Manage item set-up, and item maintenance processes throughout the item lifecycle with input from cross-functional partners. Support key product launches, asset management, product availability, and Product Detail Page optimization to drive business results. Ensure product data and assets are entered accurately and is in alignment with Best Buy’s standards to deliver an optimal customer experience through online quality assurance validation. Primary point of contact for cross-functional partners including Category Business Team, Enterprise Product Management, Marketing, Digital Experience, vendors, and Digital Channel Management teams to drive customer focused initiatives. Ability to articulate and share insights, learnings, and recommendations as the category expert.

  • Associate degree or higher
  • 6 months of industry experience in E-Commerce, retail, customer service, inventory, merchandising, data management, or web analytics
