About The Position

Keep our communities fed. As a Category Management Analyst, you are responsible for assisting with category, business, and financial planning activities within the C&S Category Management function. This position maintains critical planning resources and documentation to support the growth of the C&S Independent Grocery Channel.

Requirements

  • Experience in Category Management, Consumer Packaged Goods, or Marketing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong data management and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder service capabilities.
  • Highly organized with effective time management skills.
  • Strong collaboration, team-oriented, and self-motivated skills
  • 2-5 years of experience in Sales or Marketing Analysis; project management experience is preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Symphony AI space planning tools and syndicated data insights.

Responsibilities

  • Generating, analyzing, and communicating key market, category, consumer, and shopper data to inform cross-functional decision-makers.
  • Utilize primary and secondary intelligence platforms (e.g., Nielsen, IRI, SPINS, trade journals, industry publications).
  • Managing relationships with external agency partners (e.g., Nielsen, IRI, Advantage, SPINS, Numerator) to maintain a real-time understanding of market, category, consumer, and shopper drivers affecting C&S sales and performance.
  • Researching and developing competitive market, product, and trade intelligence reports to keep the enterprise informed of market conditions.
  • Reconciling and communicating all Category Management invoices, including billing processing, payments, expense tracking, backup documentation requests, dispute resolution, and vendor engagement.
  • Collaborating with Category Managers to reconcile budgeted versus actual services, revenue, and expenses.
  • Partnering closely with Finance & Accounting to identify issues and provide solutions.
  • Maintaining the master independent store list, including all classifications, categorizations, and location-specific details.
  • Administering the CMCA intelligence portal, including content management, user insights, feedback collection, and future evolution recommendations.
  • Managing the New Business Development funnel, working cross-functionally with the Sales team and overseeing CRM administration.
  • Supporting project management activities across applicable work streams.
