As an Intern at Lennox, you will be a part of a team of innovative and knowledgeable industry professionals. You can expect to participate in impactful, developmental projects designed for your specific area of focus. This is approximately a 10 to 12-week program that will provide you with real work experiences to grow your career and provide exposure to business leaders throughout the company. The Category Analyst Intern will support the category management team by analyzing product assortments, sales, and inventory to optimize the product offering and pricing and placement strategies. This role involves using tools like Excel, Qlik, or SAP and the candidate will collaborate with cross-functional team members including: supplier management, supply and demand planning, stores marketing, merchandising, and the field sales teams to gather (and analyze) information required to launch new products.

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with sales and product data
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Positive, can-do attitude with a solid work ethic
  • Passion for retail, merchandising, and business
  • Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Product Management, Merchandising, or related field
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Previous experience in marketing, retail, or customer service

Responsibilities

  • Collecting and analyzing sales data, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback to inform category strategies
  • Assisting the category management team with new product creation
  • Preparing reports on performance of new products
  • Assisting with the resolution of product holds
  • Documenting processes and best practices for long-term scalability
