The Nursing Intern will gain experience in community-based health services for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) across all ages. This role offers hands-on exposure to compliance processes, bridging gaps between paper and electronic health records, and shadowing nurses in case management and health goal monitoring. The intern will also learn about early childhood wellness, adult day programs, and residential services, including aging-in-place care. For Summer 2026, the intern will support projects that strengthen regulatory compliance and improve health record systems, while gaining insight into interdisciplinary collaboration and person-centered care. Ideal candidates are nursing students interested in community health, compliance, and holistic approaches to wellness.
