About The Position

Shooting Star Casino team members will always deliver excellent guest service to our guests and fellow co-workers. Our Star Service expectations include being: WELCOMING – Make every person feel invited and accepted PROACTIVE – Anticipate Guest needs UNIQUE – Create a one-of-a-kind experience at every opportunity RESOURCEFUL – Resolve the need COMPLETE – Take care and close Listens and responds to guest concerns to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction. Promotes the star rewards card usage and develops positive relationships with casino guests. Encourage guests to use the star rewards card and explain benefits of the star rewards card. Promote casino events and promotions and answer guest questions about these. Refers guests to appropriate personnel for issue resolution. Organize and attend all tiered Elite parties for high end players to ensure guest satisfaction. Assist with planning and attend all tiered Elite parties for high end players. Prepare mailing lists, draft letters of invitation. Inform and promote events by calling invited guests. Maintains and organizes Star/Sky Lounge to ensure a productive and inviting environment for Team Members and guests. Prepares daily shift reports to include new players club members signed up, Tiered members on site and any questions or concerns that happened during your shift. Utilize VizHost tool during shift. Enter all comps issued into database for tracking of comps issued to players. Answers telephone and makes reservations for guest calling with request for Elite Parties, Concert tickets or dinner. Report to next shift any problem or concerns you encountered during your shift. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Must meet all licensing requirements as prescribed by the Tribal- State Compact for Gaming.
  • Knowledge of and skill in using a personal computer and related software including Microsoft Office, Outlook as well as the ability to be trained in Casino Data System (CDS) program.
  • Knowledge of and skills in basic math functions.
  • Must be able to do cash Handling.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to maintain the strictest of confidentiality at all times.
  • Ability to receive a message, understand the intended message and give feedback to ensure guests expectations are met.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with external and internal guests.
  • Ability to determine alternatives that would correct a situation to provide effective guest service.
  • Ability to work cooperatively within a group to make the work of the group successful and effective.
  • Ability to occasionally stand for moderate periods of time (up to 4 hours).
  • Ability to occasionally walk for moderate periods of time (up to 4 hours).

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer a minimum of two years’ experience in casino marketing or public relations.
