About The Position
Goodwill is now hiring for various positions at its Sandy, UT location. If you enjoy thrifting, want to work where you shop, like employee discounts, and enjoy a flexible work schedule, then a local Goodwill store is the place to work. Positions available include Cashiers, Production Associates, and Retail Assistant Supervisor. Specific duties are outlined for Cashiers, Donation Door Attendants, and Production Associates.
Requirements
- Requires standing, stooping, bending, and carrying for entire shift (excluding break times)
- Requires the use of hands for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation
- Requires moving 20-100 pounds by lifting, team lifting, or with mechanical assistance
- Requires tolerance to extreme changes in temperature and humidity
- Ability to move independently or with reasonable accommodation within the facility and community
- Applicant must be physically and mentally able to perform all job requirements
- Work schedule may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- All positions require the completion of a background check
- Acknowledging or having criminal convictions does not constitute an automatic bar to employment
Responsibilities
- Greets and assists guests (Cashiers)
- Changes and maintains displays (Cashiers)
- Assists with keeping the store neat and clean (Cashiers)
- Replenishes stock and/or removes merchandise from the sales floor (Cashiers)
- Greets and assists donors in a fast-paced environment (Donation Door Attendants)
- Assists in unloading vehicles of donations and treat donations with respect (Donation Door Attendants)
- Sorts all donations into proper containers by categories (Donation Door Attendants)
- Cleans and maintains the donation areas (Donation Door Attendants)
- Meets daily production goals (Production Associates)
- Processes donations, sorts and prepares merchandise for sale (Production Associates)
- Replenishes stock and/or removes merchandise from the sales floor (Production Associates)
- Assists with accepting donations at the donation door as needed and/or assigned (Production Associates)
