As a Cashier/Checker at Kroger, you will play a vital role in creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. You will be expected to adhere to company policies regarding cash handling, restricted sale items, and pricing discrepancies. Your role will also involve staying current with seasonal and special promotions, as well as adhering to all food safety regulations and guidelines. As part of your responsibilities, you will reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying any unsafe conditions or accidents, reporting them to store management. Preventive maintenance is also key, as you will need to inspect equipment and notify the appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair. Overall, your goal will be to create a positive shopping experience for customers while ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, as well as company guidelines.
