What You’ll Do At Grand River Health, we’re committed to creating a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and employees alike. We’re looking for a friendly and dependable Nutritional Services Cashier to join our café team. In this role, you’ll be the face of our Nutritional Services department—greeting guests, processing transactions, and helping ensure our café runs smoothly. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with people and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Greet and serve customers in the café, including patients, visitors, and staff, with warmth and professionalism.
• Process customer transactions accurately and maintain receipts and records according to standard procedures.
• Assist with light meal preparation and service, such as stocking the salad bar, brewing coffee, and keeping refrigerated areas stocked.
• Transfer food and supplies between the kitchen and café as needed.
• Answer customer questions, explain menu items, take meal orders by phone, and provide suggestions when asked.
• Monitor supply levels and notify the team when stock is running low.
• Maintain a clean and welcoming environment by cleaning the café, food service area, and kitchen as required.
• Keep accurate temperature record logs and ensure food safety standards are met.
• Follow pre-established guidelines while also performing a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.

Benefits

• Pay Range: $15.50 - $21.00/hour (based on experience)
• Shift Differentials: $2–$4/hour for nights and weekends
