About The Position
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers by accurately processing transactions, handling payments, and providing excellent customer service. As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for customers at the checkout, making your role essential in creating a welcoming and efficient environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role preferred.
- Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash accurately.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide prompt, courteous service at the checkout.
- Accurately process sales transactions using the cash register and handle multiple forms of payment.
- Scan merchandise, ensure prices and quantities are correct, and issue receipts.
- Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds according to store policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing checkout area.
- Assist with restocking shelves and inventory management as needed.
