About The Position

A Cashier is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service as per Company standards, by assisting customers at checkout. Using electronic equipment, the Cashier processes sales quickly, accurately and efficiently, is often involved in credit and debit card transactions, all cash register operations and safeguarding company assets.

Requirements

  • Ability to process information/merchandise through register system.
  • Able to communicate with associates and customers clearly.
  • Possess the skills to read, count and write accurately in order to complete all documentation.
  • The capacity to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer.
  • Maintains solid product knowledge in order to provide helpful information.
  • Maintain an awareness of all promotions and advertisements.
  • Accurately and efficiently ring on registers and accurately maintain all cash and media at the registers.
  • Communicate customer requests to management.
  • Maintain orderly appearance of register area and supplies stocked.
  • Any other tasks as assigned from time to time by any manager.
