About The Position

Earth Burger is a fun, exciting, established fast food concept focusing on a Plant Based Menu. We’re looking for passionate individuals who can demonstrate speed, guest service, friendly smiles, and a desire to take a leap with a growing company. With National recognition and plans to expand, Earth Burger is positioned for continued growth. The Cashier will manage all monetary exchanges in the restaurant by taking orders and ringing up transactions, serve as a liaison between the customer, the managerial staff and the kitchen staff, and keep the front area of the restaurant clean and well stocked.

Responsibilities

  • Greet all customers with a friendly smile when they enter the restaurant
  • Provide superior customer service products to our customers by ensuring each product meets standards and accurately reflects the customers order
  • Record customer orders, both at the counter and at the drive-through (if applicable)
  • Transfer orders to the kitchen to ensure their preparation
  • Monitor orders and ensures their prompt delivery
  • Help package food in boxes and bags
  • Help cook food and otherwise works in the kitchen, when necessary
  • Up-sell in-store promotions, when applicable
  • Listen to and resolves customer complaints, suggestions, and inquiries
  • Keep the counter and dining area neat and clean
  • Sweep and mops the floor regularly
  • Restock napkins, straws, lids, and other supplies in the dining area
  • Take money from customers and provides correct change
  • Process credit card and debit card transactions
  • Keep track of a cash drawer and ensures it is balanced at the end of the shift
  • Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas
  • Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances
  • Maintain professional restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards
  • Uphold all ServSafe guidelines
  • Solicit customer feedback, share feedback with team, and use feedback to improve restaurant operations and build brand loyalty
  • Handle point of sale (POS) system, transactions and payments with accuracy
  • Seek ways to improve guest satisfaction, ask questions, commit to follow through
  • Set and maintain a high level of standards, display a passion for results, while consistently meeting or exceeding goals
  • Act as a role model to new and current staff
  • Contribute to the overall team performance and understand how your role relates or affects the roles of all other positions
  • Respond positively to coaching and feedback
  • Operate with integrity, honesty, accountability and treat others with respect
  • Maintain communication with general manager and team members
  • All other duties as assigned
