  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus and ability to write, count, and read required shipping/ company paperwork

Responsibilities

  • Must have complete understanding of register procedures, policies, and paperwork.
  • Closes the register at the end of business hours as scheduled
  • Operates the register on a regular basis.
  • Ability to accurately handle transaction and counting back of change.
  • Answers the telephone promptly with a smile; connects callers with the proper department or ensures that a message is taken.
  • Ensures friendly customer service with a smile.
  • Promotes the opening of charge accounts and gift card purchases.
  • Makes proper documentation on checks received for payment. Ensures company policy is followed on all checks received.
  • Collects correct information when processing all charge purchases.
  • Handles all register procedures in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Removes security devices from purchased merchandise. Aids in preventing shoplifting and internal shrinkage.
  • Checks packages brought into the store.
  • Follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties as requested by the Store Manager, Area Merchandiser, Head Cashier, and Assistant Head Cashier.
