The Cashier position is full-time, 40 hours per week, within the Food and Nutrition: Cafeteria department.

Requirements

Ability to learn and comply with cash register system and procedures
Ability to communicate with a wide variety of customers
Ability to follow instructions, oral and written
Must have basic math skills
Ability to multi-task and pay attention detail

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Greets customers, tactfully and pleasantly serves customers.
Follows all cash handling policies and procedures.
Maintains compliance with cash variance policy.
Operates electronic cash registers accurately and efficiently.
May be responsible for inventory control. This includes processing new items and stocking products.
Maintains orderly appearance of register area and stocked supplies.
May assist with pricing as needed.
