About The Position

As a Cashier, you will use cash registers, electronic scanners, and related equipment to conduct monetary transactions with customers.

Essential Job Duties:

1. Accept money in the form of cash, checks, and credit or debit cards for items purchased; validates checks
2. Ensure accurate transactions by balancing cash register and sales at the end of shift
3. Will be cross-trained in handling preparing the front cooler, making smoothies, coffees, and other duties as assigned

Other Job Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Greet customers as they enter the location
2. Identify prices of products and services and tabulates bills with available equipment.
3. Process returns and exchanges according to store policy
4. Assist customers in locating various products, resolving complaints, or providing information
5. Other job duties as assigned

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills
• Good verbal communication skills
• Ability to operate equipment, such as cash registers, calculators, and/or scanners
• Basic mathematical skills, as needed to make change and give refunds
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills with strong follow through

Nice To Haves

• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Work experience as a retail cashier or in a similar role in sales
• Familiarity with electronic equipment, like cash registers
