About The Position

Zuppardo’s Family Market, family owned and operated, has been a staple in the community for over 90 years, providing delicious food, great value and exceptional service. We are looking for professional, service orientated Cashiers As a Cashier at Zuppardo's Family Market you will manage all transactions with customers accurately and efficiently. Cashier responsibilities include receiving payments, issuing receipts, and keeping track of all cash and credit transactions. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in a customer service position and good knowledge of how cash registers operate. Ultimately, you’ll ensure all transactions run smoothly and will help us maximize customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Work experience as a retail cashier or in a similar role
• Good math skills
• Exceptional customer service
• Positive, cheerful, enthusiastic attitude
• Neat and clean appearance
• Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time up to 8-hours and sometimes exceeding
• Open availability due to varying shift times (required) including weekends and holidays
• Must be able to read and speak fluent English
• High school degree or GED

Responsibilities

• Hold or obtain a Louisiana Responsible Vendor Permit
• Stable employment history, dependable and reliable
• Experience using POS
• Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate
• Issue receipts, refunds, change or tickets
• Greet, assist, and thank customers in a prompt, courteous and friendly manner
• Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
