Requirements

• High School diploma required
• Excellent customer service experience skills.
• Strong verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively and function efficiently in a team environment.
• Demonstrated organizational, prioritization and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail, the ability to handle multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Must be flexible, show effective judgement, discretion and have the ability to handle confidential financial matters.
• Computer literacy and ability to learn and adapt to university software programs
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Suite and the ability to utilize multiple systems required

Nice To Haves

• Some Accounting experience preferred
• Prior higher education experience preferred
• Experience with PowerCampus, Transact, Workday preferred

Responsibilities

• Serve as the University Cashier.
• Receive payments and prepare daily deposits (student, e-markets & Outfitters).
• Post payments to the proper account (student or fiscal).
• Reconcile daily system reports to ensure that all payments balance to include daily student batches, Advancement gift batches.
• Reconcile petty cash account and activity cash boxes.
• Requests funds to replenish cash drawer and maintain accurate cash drawers.
• Place documents in designated Google Drive folders as needed to support daily deposits.
• Scan and distribute student refund checks.
