This Cashier position is located at Wythe County Community Hospital and involves catering to customer needs, managing cash transactions, maintaining inventory, monitoring temperatures, ensuring cafeteria cleanliness, and assisting the team to ensure efficient department operations.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment
Must practice good personal hygiene and be neatly groomed in a uniform
Applicants must pass a background check, drug screen, and provide proof of employment eligibility in the U.S.
Many healthcare facilities require employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption in place

Responsibilities

Cater to all customer needs and treat every customer with respect, friendliness, and a smile
Balance the cash drawer and discuss discrepancies with management
Stock and monitor supply levels of condiments, utensils, and grab-and-go items
Monitor temperatures for the tray line and maintain temperature logs
Keep the cafeteria clean and organized at all times, including emptying trash cans
Vacuum, sweep, mop, and spot clean to maintain floor and high-traffic areas
Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently
