About The Position

Full-time Team Members are provided with a consistent forty-hour work week. The Cashier position is for individuals who enjoy customer interaction and can multitask effectively. This role is central to greeting customers, processing sales accurately, encouraging donations through a 'Change Round Up' program, handling phone inquiries with excellent service, assisting in the training of new staff, and maintaining an organized and safe sales floor.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills
- Attention to detail
- Must be willing and able to work days, evenings, and weekends
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Prior experience in a retail environment preferred
- Six months of cash handling experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome customers with enthusiasm
- Operate the POS to ensure accurate and efficient sales data, price, and information codes on merchandise
- Welcome customers to participate in a Change Round Up to the nearest dollar to further support our missions
- Respond to phone calls while offering world class customer service
- Assist in the training of new team members and cashiers
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe sales floor and return all unsold merchandise to the floor
