The Cashier will assist customers by processing monetary transactions at the cash register and provide general store support. This role involves greeting customers, accurately operating the cash register using UPC scanners, quick keys, and product keywords, and accepting various forms of payment including cash, checks, and credit or debit cards. The cashier will also assist customers with locating products, answering questions about products or prices, and understanding product usage. Responsibilities include organizing and maintaining work areas, ensuring accurate transactions by balancing the cash register and sales at the beginning and end of each shift, and processing returns and exchanges according to store policy. Additionally, the cashier will assist customers in resolving complaints, escalating them to management when appropriate, and help with stocking, restocking, front-and-facing products on shelves, and general housekeeping. Attending all store meetings and training sessions is also required, along with performing other related duties as assigned.
