Description of Responsibilities The Cashier is responsible for providing outstanding customer services to patients of the Company.

Requirements

  • Effective interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills in speaking and writing.
  • Organizational skills sufficient to maintain consistently accurate orders.
  • The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit, as well as talk and hear.
  • The employee is required to use hands to operate vehicles and office equipment.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Handles cash transactions with customers using the Point of Sale register
  • Scan prescriptions and collect payment
  • Post payments to the customers A/R account
  • Issue receipts, refunds, change for purchased items
  • Redeem stamps and coupons
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Greet customers when entering the store
  • Maintain clean and tidy checkouts areas and product shelves
  • Maintain reports of transactions
  • Performs the duties of opening and closing the Point of Sale register
  • Answer the phone with a calm, courteous, helpful voice.
  • Stock shelves with merchandise
  • Assist in inventory counts
  • Assist in answer customers inquiries
  • Perform cashier duties for the pharmacy.
  • Report any misconduct, suspicious or unethical activities to the Pharmacy Manager.
  • Represent the Company in a professional and courteous manner in all interactions with patients and coworkers.
  • Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies.
  • Participate in the Company’s Performance Improvement Program as requested
  • Pursue continuing education programs appropriate to job responsibilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacist.
