About The Position

At Joseph’s Classic Market, our Cashiers are the final interaction customers have before leaving the store, making this role critical in providing a positive and lasting impression. In addition to delivering exceptional service, Cashiers are responsible for ensuring accurate pricing and transactions, directly impacting our store’s profitability. A Cashier’s work involves standing at a register for prolonged periods, repetitive arm and hand movements, moving and lifting product, and continuous interaction with customers and fellow employees.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Basic math and reading skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Team player with a positive, service-oriented attitude
• A passion for serving people

Nice To Haves

• Prior cashier or customer service experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver customer service that meets the Joseph’s Classic Market standard
• Weigh, scan, and accurately ring up products
• Accept various forms of payment and provide correct change
• Handle cash, credit, and other tender types with accuracy
• Bag products efficiently and safely
• Keep the register area clean and organized at all times
• Assist with other tasks as assigned
