About The Position

The Cashier role involves greeting customers, accurately processing various transactions including cash, credit, and debit, and operating the register for both fuel and in-store purchases. Key duties also include promoting the Gas N Wash rewards/loyalty program, assisting customers with questions, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the cashier area and store, stocking shelves and merchandise, monitoring inventory levels, and adhering to all company policies, safety procedures, and cash-handling guidelines. The position also requires assisting with opening and closing duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic math and money-handling skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Dependable, honest, and team-oriented
• Ability to stand for entire shift
• Ability to frequently lift between 5 to 20 pounds
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to perform repeated bending, kneeling, twisting and overhead reaching
• Ability to work in intermittent temperature, e.g., outside by the pumps and in the cooler

Nice To Haves

• Previous cashier or customer service experience is a plus
