Position Summary To correctly operate cash register using proper cash handling procedures; to maintain adequate stock and supplies in the cafeteria; and to ensure sanitary conditions and cleanliness of the cafeteria are maintained at all times.

Requirements

  • Must be a high school graduate.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
  • Must be able to perform simple arithmetic.
  • Must be able to use a cash register.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous cashier experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Cashiers efficiently, and with speed, following all department procedures.
  • Maintains menu boards and signage in the cafeteria to reflect daily menu changes; maintains demo plate presentation table.
  • Prepares beverages and assists with pre opening set up tasks for meal service; assists with post meal breakdown and clean up of cafeteria.
  • Stocks and replenishes supplies for the cafeteria, following all HACCP guidelines as it relates to food temperatures, sanitation, labeling, dating and storing.
  • Utilizes excellent customer service skills as established by MMC’s customer service standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Cannot pose a direct threat to health or safety of self or others.
  • Must provide safe, efficient, competent care to customer or patient population.
  • Must demonstrate competency of the functions described in the performance continuum and skills list.
