About The Position

The Cashier will be responsible for conducting customer transactions using cash registers, electronic scanners, and other related equipment. This role involves greeting customers as they enter the location, accepting various forms of payment including cash, checks, credit or debit cards, EBT cards, and eWIC for items purchased. The Cashier will also assist customers with questions, help them find products, and bag purchases. A key duty is ensuring accurate transactions by balancing the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift. Additionally, the Cashier is expected to offer the designated “push item” for the week to all customers and thank them at the end of each transaction. Other related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate available equipment, such as cash registers or scanners.
• Basic mathematical skills, as needed to make change.
• Knowledgeable about company products and services.
• Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
• Successful completion of on-the-job training.

Responsibilities
