Out of the Closet Thrift Store (OTC) was founded in 1990 to help raise funds and awareness for AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF). 96 cents of every dollar made goes to AHF’s HIV prevention and treatment services, and OTC offers high-quality HIV testing services at all locations. The Cashier contributes to AHF's mission by providing friendly, helpful service to shoppers, donors, and those seeking testing or pharmacy services. This role involves ringing up sales, answering customer questions, and providing excellent service to enhance AHF's reputation and encourage repeat business. Precision in handling cash and credit purchases is crucial for protecting AHF and maximizing revenue. The Cashier also supports other OTC employees by being friendly, helpful, and offering assistance, and by providing feedback to management for service improvement. The position requires adaptability and flexibility.
