About The Position

Overview: As a Runner/Cashier at Hometown Coffee & Juice, you'll play a key role in creating an exceptional customer experience. This role demands speed, efficiency, and a commitment to quality while maintaining a smooth flow between the kitchen, dining area, and guests. A successful Runner/Cashier will lead by example, demonstrating excellent hospitality, teamwork, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

Previous customer service or food service experience preferred, but not required.
Ability to multitask and work well in a team during busy periods.
Strong communication and a customer-oriented attitude.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable lifting up to 25-30 pounds (e.g., trays, cleaning supplies).
Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working efficiently.

Responsibilities

Deliver food and drinks quickly and accurately, ensuring they meet the highest standards.
Takes orders smoothly and accurately, applying discounts and modifiers as needed.
Helps guests make decisions and is knowledgeable on our menu and offerings.
Work with team members to maintain accuracy and consistency, setting the bar for hospitality and quality.
Anticipate team needs and keep operations moving smoothly during busy times.
Multitask effectively, ensuring timely and accurate order delivery while maintaining a calm, organized work environment.
Lead by example, setting the pace for the team and ensuring the flow remains steady.
Handle all front-of-house tasks, including orders, discounts, and modifiers, smoothly and efficiently.
Act as a go-to resource for team questions, training, and FOH coordination.
Maintain a clean, organized work environment and hold others accountable for cleanliness.
Regularly check and clean dining and service areas to meet Hometown's standards.
Proactively anticipate guest needs and provide an exceptional hospitality.
Respond quickly and professionally to customer requests, contributing to overall satisfaction.
