Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in cashiering or retail customer service.
  • Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions and stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift and carry heavy items safely.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the cash register efficiently to process customer purchases, returns, and exchanges with accuracy.
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues promptly and courteously.
  • Handle cash, credit, and other forms of payment securely while maintaining accurate transaction records.
  • Perform janitorial duties such as cleaning the checkout area, restocking supplies, and ensuring the workspace is tidy and safe.
  • Assist with lifting and carrying heavy items as needed to support inventory management and store organization.
  • Maintain phone etiquette by professionally answering calls, providing information, and directing inquiries appropriately.
