About The Position
The Cashier utilizes a cash register and accepts payment utilizing basic math skills. Prepares and serves concession items to guests. Prepares and pours beverages and serves them to guests. Ensures quality of food presentation. Must be able to maintain excellent attendance in accordance with the attendance policy. The Cashier must be friendly and provide attentive sevice to all guests. This role will pay an hourly rate of $11.00-$13.00 and is tip eligible Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching This position will remain open until April 17, 2026. About the Venue Dickey-Stephens Park (DSP) was built in 2007 and has been a staple in the central Arkansas Community since its inception. DSP is located in North Little Rock, just across the Arkansas River from downtown Little Rock. It primarily serves as the home for the Arkansas Travelers (Seattle Mariners AA Affiliate) but also serves as an entertainment venue for dozens of community events throughout the year.
Requirements
- Must be 18 or over
- Ability to learn to handle cash and learn to operate a cash register and corresponding system
- Excellent interpersonal skills & a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, managers, volunteers & guests
- Ability to pass safe food handlers certification and alcohol service certification
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in food service industry preferred
- Previous cash handling experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct the cash register sales by entering the orders and completing the transaction.
- Responsible for maintaining stock and supply levels, and communicating to the Concessions Stand Manger of low stock items.
- Listening and responding to customer requests or concerns
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work space including but not limited to disposal of garbage & cleaning dishes.
- Serve beverages to guests including alcoholic beverages responsibly. Must check guest’s ID in accordance with state/federal regulations to verify minimum age requirement for purchase of alcoholic beverages.
- Maintains sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas.
