As a cashier, you are responsible for ensuring our customers have a fantastic shopping experience by providing a welcome greeting, accurately processing cash register transactions, and actively soliciting "Roundup" opportunities. The cashier exhibits customer commitment and personal effectiveness and plays a crucial role in our mission. The Valdosta retail store on St Augustine is looking for a hard-working and dedicated Retail Associate – Cashier. You will be hired as a Retail Associate – Cashier, however, you will be cross-trained and expected to learn and work all areas of the retail operation.

Requirements

Basic math skills.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), required.
The Retail Associate Cashier must be available to work any shifts Monday through Sunday.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience working in a retail or customer service-related environment is preferred.
Cash handling experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensures that each guest receives outstanding customer service.
Assists customers with purchases and pricing.
Operated the cash register system and applied basic math skills, including, but not limited to, essential addition and subtraction of money.
Understand item pricing and “color of the week.”
Maintains the appearance of the sales floor and dressing room by organizing shelves, putting away carts, and returning merchandise from the dressing room to the sales floor.
Asks customers to “Round-Up” totals in support of our mission and scholarship programs.
Meets or exceeds daily retail store goals.
Works other areas of the store as requested by the leadership team.
