About The Position

A respected organization is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Cashier to support daily operations at aquatic facilities in Las Cruces, NM. This position plays a key role in providing excellent customer service while accurately handling financial transactions in a fast-paced and high-traffic environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining professionalism.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of six (6) months of cashiering or cash handling experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately.
• Ability to operate a cash register, calculator, and basic office equipment.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Applicants may be subject to a background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process cash and check payments accurately using a cash register.
• Issue receipts and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
• Balance cash drawer daily and resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Prepare and maintain daily cash reports and documentation.
• File receipts and maintain accurate financial records.
• Provide prompt, courteous, and professional customer service.
• Respond to customer inquiries and assist with general facility information.
• Follow all policies and procedures related to cash handling and record keeping.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work effectively in a busy environment with frequent interruptions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
