About The Position

To our team members, Zaxby's is an indescribably great place to work! Cashiers are the first point of contact for our guests and are directly responsible for delivering a great experience. You will take and enter orders, handle payments, keep the dining room and other guest areas clean, and provide excellent service to our guests. The individual in this position is expected to engage in various work-related activities which may occur inside or outside the restaurant. This includes completing all training requirements, such as Zaxby's Front of House Development Plan and hands-on stations training. You will provide friendly, enthusiastic service for all guests, promptly greet them as they enter, and thank them as they leave. Maintaining awareness of current promotions, explaining menu items, answering questions, and suggesting additional items are also key responsibilities. You will accurately complete orders and guest transactions, enter guest orders into the point of sale system, accept payments, operate cash registers, and maintain receipts. Handling cash payments, counting and verifying tills, and recording totals appropriately are essential tasks. Additionally, you will maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by cleaning and maintaining guest areas, including the dining room, counters, bathrooms, and building exterior. You will also stock paper goods, condiments, serveware, and beverages, keep work areas clean and organized, and prepare menu items according to company standards in a safe and sanitary manner. This role requires you to work safely and follow all safety guidelines and procedures while completing all tasks with a sense of urgency and in a timely manner. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
