About The Position

The Jackson Park Golf Course is seeking driven, friendly individuals with excellent customer service skills to enhance guest experiences. Cashiers serve as the initial point of contact for guests, handling inquiries, taking orders and payments, providing information about the facility's restaurants, banquets, events, and golf services, as well as greeting and seating guests. The role also involves some basic food preparation and cooking. The core mission of Cashiers is to deliver personal, engaging, and knowledgeable service within a teamwork-oriented environment. Requirements

  • Ability to work a variety of hours, including weekends and seasonal work.
  • Proficiency in Point of Sale (POS) and phone systems.
  • Ability to handle cash and follow turn-in standards.
  • Understanding and demonstration of proper side work and cleanliness standards.
  • Knowledge of proper service sequence with guests.
  • Understanding of dining room flow mechanics.
  • Familiarity with reservation procedures.
  • Ability to communicate banquet information and take preliminary bookings.
  • Full understanding of Washington State Liquor Control Board (WSLCB) liquor control and over-consumption policies.
  • Vigilance regarding guest over-service and ability to alert management.
  • Ability to perform tray service.
  • Proficiency in proper table setup and resetting procedures.
  • Demonstration of proper service techniques (serving, plate removal, wine service).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the restaurant in like-new condition through ongoing side work.
  • Assist other team members with tasks when necessary and time permits.
  • Avoid leaving stations empty-handed.
  • Clean work areas continuously.
  • Prioritize serving hot food promptly.
  • Seat guests whenever possible.
  • Operate Point of Sale (POS) and phone systems effectively.
  • Handle cash properly and follow turn-in standards.
  • Perform side work and maintain cleanliness standards.
