About The Position

Intonu, an Atlanta-based company, is seeking a friendly, organized, and proactive individual to serve as our Cashier. This role will focus on providing excellent customer service at the point of sale, accurately managing physical payments (cash, checks, credit cards), and coordinating with buyers for special customer accommodations or requests. The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service skills with a positive, high-energy attitude
  • Experience handling physical payments (cash, checks, credit cards) and balancing cash drawers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for customer interactions
  • Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy in processing transactions
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple customers and tasks simultaneously
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook
  • Resourceful, able to work independently, and follow up consistently
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive payment information

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a cashier or in retail/customer-facing roles
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems or ERP systems such as RIMAS or SAP
  • Experience coordinating special accommodations or custom orders with buyers/purchasing teams
  • Spanish language skills
  • 1–3 years of customer service or data entry experience

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, professional service at the register
  • Accurately process customer payments using cash, checks, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods
  • Handle daily cash drawer management, including counting, balancing, and reconciling end-of-day deposits
  • Manage physical payments and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and securely
  • Assist customers with inquiries, returns, exchanges, and billing questions
  • Coordinate with buyers and purchasing agents for special customer accommodations, pricing adjustments, or custom orders
  • Track and verify deliveries related to customer purchases when needed
  • Perform data entry, filing, and document management for sales and payment records
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions and resolve any payment discrepancies promptly
  • Handle phone and email communications with customers regarding orders, payments, and account status
  • Support other office and sales personnel when available
