About The Position

Nemours is seeking a Cash Reconciliation Specialist to join our team in Orlando, Florida. The Cash Reconciliation Specialist (CRS) is responsible for accurately receiving, reconciling, and reporting all patient and non-patient payments across hospital and practice locations. This role ensures timely deposits, prepares daily financial reports, and supports treasury operations. The CRS collaborates closely with front-line staff, treasury teams, and banking partners to maintain compliance and accuracy in cash handling processes. Located in Orlando, Fla., Nemours Children’s Hospital is the newest addition to the Nemours integrated healthcare system. Our 100-bed pediatric hospital also features the area’s only 24-hour Emergency Department designed just for kids as well as outpatient pediatric clinics including several specialties previously unavailable in the region. Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum one (1) year of job-related experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately reconcile all patient and non-patient cash collections, including pre-service, point-of-service, and post-service transactions.
  • Prepare and verify daily deposits; ensure timely submission to the treasury office.
  • Generate and review daily financial reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in cash handling and reconciliation processes.
  • Coordinate with front-line staff, treasury, and banking representatives to ensure proper cash flow and compliance.
  • Facilitate timely bank deposits, including occasional travel to banking locations as required.
  • Maintain strict adherence to internal controls and organizational policies related to cash management.
  • Assist the Family Financial Services team with routine tasks, estimate creations and special projects as directed by management.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to internal stakeholders regarding cash reconciliation inquiries.
  • Assist with developing or updating cash handling and reconciliation procedures.
  • Provide backup support for other Financial Services team members during absences or peak workload periods.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and recommend enhancements to cash management workflows.
  • Other duties as assigned.
