About The Position

The Cash Poster is responsible for posting all ERA and manual checks. The Cash Poster is responsible for balancing duties on a daily basis and notifying management of any/all short pay and trends during the posting process. The Cash Poster position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, in addition to strict attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Posts denials to member accounts in a timely and accurate manner
• Assists other members of the team and assists with other projects and tasks, as needed
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of EOB’s, EFT’s, and ERA’s
• Demonstrates a strong understanding of insurance payments/takebacks and adjustments
• Balances daily payments posted back to the original deposit amounts
• Demonstrates strong working knowledge of AHCCCS guidelines for efficient and effective payment posting
• Researches and resolves payment posting issues, including unidentified payments, missing payments, and payment rejections, communicating with payers, clients, and management in a timely manner, as necessary
• Collaborates with the billing and A/R team to resolve billing-related issues that impact payment posting, providing ongoing support and expertise, as needed
• Performing additional duties as assigned to support our mission.
