About The Position

The Cash Operations Manager serves as a key leader within the Treasury Department, responsible for managing daily cash operations, optimizing liquidity, and ensuring the efficient execution of treasury activities. This role provides strategic oversight of cash management processes while maintaining strong internal controls and operational excellence. The individual will actively lead, coach, and develop Treasury staff, working independently and serving as a team lead to drive accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement across treasury operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required; CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) preferred.
  • 5-8 years of experience in Treasury or Cash Operations, preferably in financial services or insurance.
  • Strong understanding of treasury management systems, bank platforms, and cash forecasting.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with treasury or ERP systems (e.g., FIS Integrity, Oracle or similar).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily cash management operations, including cash positioning, transfers, and disbursements, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and adherence to internal controls.
  • Develop and maintain short-term cash forecasting models to support corporate liquidity and investment strategies.
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, and Investment teams to ensure alignment of cash management with enterprise-wide objectives.
  • Lead and mentor Treasury staff, providing guidance, coaching, and development to ensure high performance.
  • Support investment and financing activities, coordinating cash settlements, funding requests, and other transactions.
  • Identify, implement, and monitor process improvements and automation initiatives to streamline operations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on complex technical and business matters related to cash operations.
  • Assume a team lead role when required to manage workflow, prioritize tasks, and ensure accuracy across the workgroup.
