About The Position

This accounts receivable position applies and balances customer payment to open receivables on larger, more complex accounts. Manages deduction process by performing research, resolving where possible or assigning to other work groups for resolution. Position requires focus and dedication, strong attention to detail and strong customer service skills.

Requirements

• Intermediate Excel skills to download remittance information and analyze account detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word to generate letters for deductions and discrepancies.
• Strong attention to detail
• Intermediate problem-solving skills to analyze account detail and payment information.
• Intermediate organizational skills with ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
• Intermediate 10-key data entry skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable/cash application required, or four years of related experience preferred
• Minimum of one year experience in Customer Service, two years preferred

Responsibilities

• Apply and balance, in Trend dealer payments to detailed open receivable items according to the remittance. Payments must be applied accurately and timely.
• Work with Credit department when question arises on customer account through research and analysis of payments.
• Manage deduction process by analyzing customer accounts where short payments have been taken. Ensure proper recording of the deduction and work with customers and customer service to resolve. If collectible, communicate situation in writing to the customer.
• Provide information to internal and external customers by verifying understanding of request; answering questions; offering assistance.
• Improve quality results by evaluating processes, recommending changes.
• Attend trainings as needed to perform job duties
• Understand and demonstrate ORS Core Values.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
