The Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission (OLCC) is recruiting for a permanent, full-time Case Presenter in our Administrative Hearings Division. Case Presenters ensure efficient and effective operations of administrative hearings for OLCC cases. This position evaluates proposed agency actions from Compliance, Licensing, and Retail Services Divisions for cases where enforcement actions, licensing refusals, or contract actions are recommended; proposes and drafts Notices initiating the contested case hearing process; implements a course of action for resolving the case, through settlement, withdrawal, or conducting a contested case hearing; writes Final Order of Default in appropriate cases; represents the Commission in contested case hearings and at Commission meetings by preparing the case for hearings, attending pre/post-hearing conferences, presenting the case at hearings, reviewing proposed orders, writing comments, and presenting oral argument at Commission meetings; provides technical assistance and quality assurance to the Public Safety Services Program, and analyzes issues for policy-makers’ decisions. While this recruitment is an internal and external opportunity, internal OLCC applicants will be given preference during the application review process. The Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission (OLCC) oversees access to alcohol and cannabis products in Oregon through education, regulation, and distilled spirits distribution.
